1. Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information in the following ways:

(1) Google OAuth Login

• Email address, name, profile image

(2) Email/Password Sign-up

• Email address, name, nickname (optional)
• Password (stored as one-way hash using bcrypt algorithm)

(3) Automatically Collected During Service Use

• Learning records (progress, points, vocabulary, diary, etc.)
• Service usage records (access date/time, IP address)

(4) Commentary & Description Learning Feature

• Voice data recorded by users during commentary and description learning is stored on the server.
• Recorded voice data can only be accessed and played back by you, and will not be disclosed to other users or third parties.
• Voice data is used only for providing learning feedback and will be deleted upon account deletion.

2. Purpose of Use

Collected information is used only for the following purposes:

• Service login and user authentication
• Storing and managing learning progress, points, and vocabulary data
• Providing AI-based learning features (sentence check, word generation, story mode, etc.)
• Community features (sentence sharing, likes, etc.)
• Operating the ranking system
• Sending marketing emails (only with user consent)
• Service error monitoring and quality improvement

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

This service uses external services for login authentication, AI learning features, and service operations. The minimum necessary information may be transmitted to these services in the process.

(1) Third-Party AI (LLM) Services

This service transmits data to the following third-party AI service providers to offer AI-based English learning features:

• Data transmitted: English text input by users in AI sentence check, diary analysis, word/sentence generation, and story mode; voice data used in speech recognition (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS)
• Purpose: Generating English learning feedback and content analysis
• Protection measures: Personally identifiable information such as email and name is not transmitted; only learning text and voice data are transmitted. All third-party AI service providers offer data protection equivalent to this Privacy Policy
• Consent: Separate consent is obtained when using AI features for the first time; AI features cannot be used without consent

(2) Other External Services

• Google OAuth / Apple Sign In: Login authentication
• Stripe / Apple App Store / Google Play: Payment processing
• Google Analytics: Service usage statistics (anonymized)

Each service processes information according to its own privacy policy.

4. Personal Information Protection Measures

We implement technical and administrative protection measures to safeguard your personal information, including encrypted password storage, data transmission encryption, access control management, and blocking of abnormal access.

5. Retention and Deletion of Personal Information

Your personal information is retained for the duration of your service use and will be promptly deleted upon account deletion request.

However, information required to be retained under applicable laws will be kept for the specified period and then deleted:

This service uses cookies and local storage to enhance user experience:

• Session Cookie - Maintain login state (HttpOnly, Secure settings applied)
• Local Storage - Theme settings, learning progress, UI state storage (non-sensitive data only)
• Analytics Cookie - Service usage statistics via Google Analytics (anonymized)

8. Personal Information of Children Under 14

This service does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 14. Children under 14 require consent from a legal guardian to use the service.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be amended in accordance with laws or service changes, and we will notify you through in-service announcements. The amended policy will take effect from the date of notice.
