Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (hereinafter "Terms") govern the conditions, procedures, and rights and obligations between the company and users regarding the use of Smoveth (hereinafter "Service"). By using the Service, you are deemed to agree to these Terms.

1. Service Overview

Smoveth is an AI-powered English learning platform that provides features such as English sentence structure learning, AI sentence checking, English diary analysis, vocabulary, story mode, and community. The Service is available through the website (www.smoveth.com) and mobile apps (iOS, Android).

2. Membership Registration and Account

• You can sign up with email/password, Google account, or Apple account.
• Members must provide accurate information and must not use others' information.
• Members are responsible for managing their account information (password, etc.).
• Members can withdraw from the service at any time through the settings, and all data will be deleted upon withdrawal.

3. Subscription and Payment

(1) Auto-Renewable Subscription

• Premium subscriptions are available in Monthly or Yearly plans.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Subscription fees are automatically charged to the registered payment method upon renewal.
• In-app subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and follow each store's payment policies.

(2) Subscription Cancellation and Refund

• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, and premium features remain available until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds for in-app subscriptions follow Apple or Google's refund policies.
• For web payment (Stripe) refund policies, please refer to the separate refund policy page.

4. AI Services and Data Processing

• This Service uses third-party AI (LLM) services to provide features such as sentence analysis, feedback generation, word/sentence generation, speech recognition (STT), and text-to-speech (TTS).
• AI models used internally may change to improve service quality, and all third-party AI service providers offer equivalent levels of data protection in accordance with the privacy policy.
• When using AI features, text (English sentences, diary content, etc.) and voice data entered by users are transmitted to third-party AI service providers.
• Transmitted data does not include personally identifiable information such as users' email addresses or names.
• Transmitted data is used solely for generating learning feedback and is processed in accordance with the Service's privacy policy.
• Consent for data transmission is requested upon first use of AI features; AI features cannot be used without consent.

5. User-Generated Content

The following rules apply to content created in community, diary, AI sentence creation, etc.:

• Users are responsible for content they create.
• Posting offensive or inappropriate content (profanity, hate speech, pornography, violent content, spam, advertising, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
• Inappropriate content can be reported through the report function.
• Inappropriate users can be blocked, and their content will be removed from the feed when blocked.
• Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours, and if violations are confirmed, the content will be deleted and the user's account will be sanctioned.
• Content set to public may be displayed to other users.

6. Prohibited Activities

Users must not engage in the following activities:

• Unauthorized collection or use of others' personal information
• Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
• Posting illegal, harmful, threatening, insulting, or defamatory content
• Using the Service to violate laws and regulations
• Threatening the security of the Service or exploiting vulnerabilities
• Accessing the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.)

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights for content included in the Service (text, images, software, design, etc.) belong to Smoveth or its licensors. Users may only use content provided through the Service for personal learning purposes. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use is prohibited.

8. Service Changes and Suspension

The company may change or suspend all or part of the Service due to service improvements, technical reasons, or business decisions. Important changes will be announced in advance through in-service notifications.

9. Disclaimer

• Learning feedback generated by AI is reference material and does not guarantee perfect accuracy.
• The company is not responsible for service interruptions due to force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.
• Learning outcomes expected by users through the Service may vary depending on individual effort and circumstances.

10. Privacy Protection

Matters regarding the protection of users' personal information follow the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

The company may change these Terms within the scope not violating relevant laws, and changed Terms will be announced through in-service notifications. If you do not agree to the changed Terms, you may stop using the Service and withdraw your membership.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes related to the use of the Service are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Korea.
